The first thing you need to do is
decide what kind of website
your going to make. Is your website going to offer a service, is it
going to have a lot of content and use a PPC affilate program such
as
Adsense, or are you going to offer products?
Once you have decided what your site is going to offer, you
are ready to build your website. You want to make your website theme
similar to the content or products you offer. Keep in mind people
do
not want to wait an hour to see your webpage, so keep the loading
times down. Keep the colors light, and the text big enough for the
average person to read with ease. You defiantly don't want to give
the visitor a headache. Keep your website plain and simple with very
few ads.
Ok, you've built a website, now what? If you have choosen to
make a content filled website then I suggest going with Adsense.
If you have choosen to make a website offering a service or products,
I suggest staying away from Adsense since it will give your visitors
to your competitors , and when you make more from the product your
selling then you would for a Adsense click, then Adsense, doesn't
make sense.
Next, you need traffic, what good
are ads or products if you
do not have customers, or visitors. There are many different forms
of
generating traffic. The easiest way being making a signature on all
your emails, all the of public forums that you are involved with.
You
would be surprised how much traffic you get from that. You could also
use programs like TrafficSwarm, although its not "quality"
traffic,
somtimes it can generate a sale, or a Adsense click, and for the
effort you put out to obtain this traffic, it's SOMTIMES worth it.
If you have money to use, try PPC search engines, Google Adwords is
a very good choice. Among the best ways to generate traffic to your
website is SEO ( SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMIZATION).
Search Engine Optimization is simply
the best way to generate
free traffic. The first thing you need to do is base your site on
keywords. One of the major errors people make is making all the
titles of there webpages the same, that is a waste of very valuable
keyword space. Make the title of your webpage what the specific page
is about.
One of the keys to get a high ranking in Search Engines is backlinks.
Backlinks are when someone from another website link to you. The
higher rank the website that links to you is, the more affect it will
have on your ranking. Search engines also love content. The more
content you have the better.
Once everything is starting to fall
together, set some goals.
Set a goal of how many web pages you will add a day. Set a goal of
how much income you would like to be making. Make the goal obtainable
and set a date of which you would like to meet your goal. Strive to
meet your goal, keep inspired, and never give up! If you do all this,
you someday will be making a great primary income, or secondary
income on the web.
